Camden Town did very well in the recent A Level and GCSE reports and they're now on track for another impressive new year in education.

On Tuesday 13 September sees the Education Commission report launches at Brecknock primary school. The report is a detailed analysis of Camden's education stagey and looks at everything from nursery schools to higher education.

There will be a five to ten year strategy laid out which should help focus local education officers and the idea is to standardize the high quality of some schools throughout the borough.

Sir Mike Tomlinson, Chair of the Education Commission, said: "The draft proposals in this interim report are made in light of the strong base in Camden. We believe that together our proposals will re-shape the relationships between the local authority, schools and external partners, and make Camden the best place to be educated and the best place to teach.

I'm impressed they're doing such a comprehensive process and with this level of interest it can only be a good thing for the future of Camden Town's education.
