Camden police appeal for help

Police in Camden are appealing for help to trace a suspect wanted in connection with a robbery and assault which took place in 2011.Stephen Fitzpatrick, 25, of Kings Cross Road, WC1X, is believed to have been involved in an assault where a 35 year old man was left with serious facial injuries. On Sunday, June 26 2011, at about 5.25am, a man, 35, was walking along Kings Cross Road, WC1. Two men came out from a property and grabbed hold of him pulling him in to the house. The suspects managed to drag the victim in to the communal hallway/corridor of the property where they assaulted him by punching him numerous times in the head and face. In the struggle the suspects also took the victim's phone from his pocket.After numerous failed attempts the victim managed to get out of the property and run away. The suspects chased after him, however he managed to escape and call police for help. One of the suspects went back in to the property whilst the other walked away along the road.

Police and London Ambulance Service attended to treat the injured man, who was subsequently taken to hospital. The victim several facial injuries, including a fractured check bone, cuts and bruises.Officers visited the address where the assault took place and arrested two men. One, Aaron French, 30, of Parker Street WC2B was later charged with Robbery and Grievous Bodily Harm. He has since been sentenced to three years imprisonment.The second suspect failed to return once bailed and has since evaded all efforts made by police to find him and bring him to justice.
Police are now appealing for the public's help to trace Fitzpatrick. He is believed to have associations with West London, Central London, South London as well as the Midlands. Anyone with information as to his whereabouts is urged to contact police on 101.
