Camden is rated highest (92%) out of local authorities in England for the percentage of pupils most likely to attend a good or outstanding primary school.
The figure, revealed by Ofsted when its annual report was published this week, recognises the fantastic job heads and teachers do every day in Camden, with the support of parents, governors and the council.
Camden primary schools achieved their best-ever national test results in 2012, with big improvements for provisional scores in English and maths.
These are expected to be well above the national averages when the final primary school performance tables are published in a few weeks' time.
The council's school improvement service provides heads with a Camden professional partner to support and challenge them and we recently set up theCamden Partnership for Educational Excellence to help give a further boost to achievement in the borough.
