Find out about proposals to develop the Royal Mail staff car park at Phoenix Place, Mount Pleasant and Gough Street and the Royal Mail Mount Pleasant Sorting Office and service yard, Farringdon Road, EC1, at a public meeting.
The meeting is taking place on Wednesday 14 November from 6.30pm – 8.30pm at the Bloomsbury Suite, Holiday Inn Kings Cross, 1 Kings Cross Road, WC1X 9HX.
At this meeting Royal Mail will present proposals for the site.
The proposals include a housing led, mixed use redevelopment of the existing Royal Mail staff car park (bounded by Phoenix Place, Mount Pleasant and Gough Street), comprising 5-15 storey buildings arranged around new pedestrian routes and public square.
To proceed alongside the renovation and refurbishment of the Mount Pleasant sorting office to enable the housing led, mixed use redevelopment of the service yard within the London Borough of Islington.
The purpose of the meeting is to discuss the proposal before a planning application is made and to give local people the opportunity to ask questions and give their views on the proposals as they stand at this stage
Everyone is welcome to attend.
A planning application has not yet been received from the developer for this site. If one is submitted in the future the Camden Council will publicise and consult on the application in the normal way.
