Camden Town is home to many markets, cool shops and cute boutiques- and an alarmingly high rate of knock offs. Well, the war against fake goods has just won this round as one of Camden's key criminal perpetrators has just been jailed for 2 years.

Fake club June 2011
Pleading guilty to 25 counts of trademark offences (we've all seen those faux Dre Beats on the stalls); the perp had a 2 year sentence.
Strangely, the offences actually were created from a business address of a nightclub named the Fake Club, Yes, for real...
16,000 items were seized after a 3 year investigation and were valued at half a million (the real goods would be 2 million).
They included fake brand name products which included Gucci, Rolex, Louis Vuitton and Prada. .
Councillor Sue Vincent, Cabinet member for environment and deputy leaders, said: "Camden Council will protect unwary shoppers from purchasing poor quality goods. This is one of the biggest cases that our trading standards team have ever seen and is an important victory for them."
What are your thoughts on fake goods- and do you think a 2 year sentence is too low or high?
