Camden Council is giving away free snow shovels again this year to help community groups to clear snow and ice from public footpaths.

Snow shovels are available to be picked up in person from Regis Road recycling and re-use centre. You can pick the shovels up between 10am and 3pm from Monday to Friday. You will need to leave your contact details and information about where the shovels will be used.

When temperatures drop, the council's fleet will be out gritting priority roads and footpaths. Grit to help clear public roads and footpaths is available from over 160 grit bins across Camden.

You can also help by looking out for neighbours. If you know someone who can't get out in bad weather, please check on them in case they need help clearing a path or with their shopping.

Find out more about free snow shovels and grit bins, the vulnerable tenants register and our plans for keeping Camden up and running this winter at camden.gov.uk/winter.

Our web pages at camden.gov.uk/winter are also where you can keep up to date with the latest news on council services affected by any snow and ice.

This is a really good idea - it's getting really cold so there is bound to be snow (and ice).
