Hawley Infants School Pupils Olivia and Lucy receive a lesson at Cote Camden.
Year 2 pupils from the school learned about the origins of Côte's three flagship French cheeses (Roquefort, Reblochon and Comte), as well as smelling and tasting them, before making their own ****aladiere, a miniature pizza, during a lesson from the restaurant's chefs.
Teacher Oonagh Pierce said: "The children were most enthusiastic about this trip. They were keen to touch, smell and taste the different French cheeses and lots of them talked about the different cheeses they ate at home. An enjoyable, educational trip!"
"We were delighted to welcome the pupils of Hawley Infants School to our restaurant," commented Côte Camden Manager Adrian Wong. "We're really keen to support our local community in whatever way possible."
