A new programme called Shape-up is being launched for Camden residents.

The initative is a free structured self-help programme that helps people to manage their weight.

Join a group of like-minded people for eleven weeks and learn about weight management techniques, including portion sizes, food labels and getting active.

The programme is not for those looking for a 'quick fix' for their weight problem. However it will help you develop a lifestyle which can help you lose weight now and keep it off for the future.

Shape-up might be for you, if you are:

  • aged 18 years and over
  • a Camden resident
  • overweight with a body mass index (BMI) over 25*
  • willing to attend all eight group sessions
