As part of London Open House on the weekend of 22 and 23 September, energy saving refurbished properties in Camden will be open to the public.
As well as four houses in Camden you can also visit a home in Muswell Hill.
All of the houses are Edwardian or Victorian, and all have been improved to save at least 60% of their energy and carbon emissions, and to be much more comfortable.
These eco-homes demonstrate a range of techniques to achieve this – including how to reduce energy loss through the building fabric and using renewable technology to supply low carbon energy.
The homeowners and residents would like to welcome you to come along and see how it can be done, while maintaining or improving the period details. Two of these properties – 17 St Augustine's Road NW1, and 8 Bertram Street N19 – are owned by Camden Council.
