Lunchtime drama at the Etcetera Theatre (above Oxford Arms, 265 Camden High Street). Starts 1pm, lasts 45 minutes.
In Thomas Mann's 1912 novella and Luchino Visconti's 1972 film an older man is obsessed by a beautiful youth. The two never speak, but a silent relationship grows between them until the writer's final day. What went through Tadzio's mind when he realised what was happening? Did he welcome or fear the writer's gaze? What impact did their encounter have on him? Decades later Tadzio looks back at that fateful summer in Venice. Finally, Tadzio speaks . . .
A one-man play with powerful and moving performance from Christopher Peacock.
